Application Methods of Insulation Mortar

What is Insulation Mortar?

Insulation mortar is a pre-mixed dry powder material composed of lightweight aggregates, cementitious binders, and performance-enhancing additives. Designed to create thermal insulation layers on building surfaces, it offers exceptional fire resistance (non-combustible inorganic formulas), making it ideal for:

✔ High-density residences

✔ Public buildings & flammable environments

✔ Fire barrier applications

Key Performance Advantages

1. Unmatched Stability

- Inorganic formulas resist acids/alkalis, never crack or degrade, matching the building's lifespan.

2. Easy Application

- Applies like standard cement mortar – no special tools needed. Faster installation vs. other insulation systems.

3. Universal Compatibility

- Bonds to ANY substrate (concrete, brick, etc.). Eliminates thermal bridges for walls, roofs, and floors.

4.Eco-Friendly & Safe

- Zero toxins/radiation. Incorporates industrial byproducts for sustainable construction.

5. Superior Strength

- High adhesion = no hollowing/cracks (outperforms most organic alternatives).

6. Fireproof

- Withstands extreme heat – critical for fire-prone areas.

7. Adaptive Thermal Performance

- Adjustable conductivity (as low as 0.07W/m·K). Blocks summer heat & winter cold.

8. Mold Prevention

- Stops condensation-induced mildew.

9. Cost-Effective

- Replaces dual-layer plastering, cutting labor/material expenses.

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

Prep Work

1. Clean & Dampen the substrate (dust/oil-free; moisten if overly dry).

2. Apply interface agent (mix 1:4-5 water ratio, trowel/spray 3mm).

3. Mix insulation mortar (1 part binder : 0.08 EPS beads : 1 water) until lump-free.

4. Apply in 2+ layers (>2cm total thickness; 24hr between coats).

5. Cover with 2mm anti-crack mortar.

6. Embed alkali-resistant mesh.

7. Add a final 2-3mm mortar layer.

8. Wait 48-72hrs (weather-dependent) before finishing.

Pro Tips

- Hot climates: Work early/late to avoid rapid drying.

- Critical zones: Double-layer mesh at corners/window edges.
