Formula of putty powder for wall scraping

1.Basic processing

First, clean up the dust, stains and other debris remaining on the surface of the base.

2.Repair the wall

Use plaster to level the uneven areas on the wall. After it dries, use sandpaper to smooth the protruding parts and sweep away the dust.

3.Mix putty

For different places, the waterproofing requirements are different, and the ratio of putty is also different. The general putty has a ratio of polyvinyl acetate emulsion: talcum powder or white powder: 2%  carboxymethyl cellulose solution = 1:5:3.5; it can be used in waterproof areas such as kitchens and toilets, with a ratio of polyvinyl acetate emulsion: cement: water = 1:5:1.

4.Scrape putty

Generally, three times of puttying are done.

The first time, use a rubber scraper to scrape horizontally and completely. No joints should be left. When scraping each board, pay attention to cleanliness. After drying, use No. 1 sandpaper to grind the floating putty and stains flat and smooth, and then clean the wall.

The second time, use a rubber scraper to scrape vertically and completely. The materials and methods used are the same as the first time.

The third time, use a rubber scraper to fill the putty, and use a steel scraper to scrape the putty completely, scrape the wall base flat and smooth, and after drying, use fine sandpaper to grind and smooth, and be careful not to miss any gaps.
